Create A Trendy Form in Access

Why is the default MS Access form so drab?? I like my forms to look more like this:

More modern, more trendy, more cool. Even us desktop application developers have to try to keep up with the slick interfaces of the Facebooks and Twitters of the world.

First steps, defaults which I change on every form right away (these are Access 2007 btw):

I always create unbound forms. Maybe it’s old school, but I feel bound forms always ’cause problems with data corruption and record-locking issues, plus why would you ever want someone editing data directly in the table?? That’s just asking for trouble.

I always save my form with the same name: frm_Main. That’s because you’re always going to have one main form in the application right? Why not always give it the same name?

Be sure to give your form a custom caption as well. This database is gonna be for donations:
